Meet Georgina

Georgina brings to Richmond Barre a lifetime of ballet knowledge. She began dancing at the age of 3 and was chosen to attend The Royal Ballet School, White Lodge, at the age of 11. She was selected to perform as Clara in The Nutcracker with The Royal Ballet Company two years later.

Whilst at school, Georgina featured extensively alongside Darcey Bussell in a Dorling Kindersley book entitled ‘The Young Dancer’.

After graduating with honours, she went on to dance for 10 years with the Hamburg Ballet Company, touring the globe and taking on many lead roles in well-known ballets. She has danced in many world-famous theatres and has worked closely with renowned choreographers, including John Neumeier (appearing in several ballet film productions), Christopher Wheeldon, Mats Ek and Jiri Kylian.

Georgina completed the Barreworks (now The Barre Collective) Instructor training in the summer of 2018 and began teaching barre classes, alongside her well-established and popular ballet classes, at the studio almost immediately. She quickly became one of the most sought-after Instructors in the team and is widely respected and loved for her passion, technical knowledge and ability to make ballet accessible to anyone who wants to learn.

She has also recently become a certified teacher in the method of Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT).
