In Studio Ballet Workout
60-minutes of beautiful and joyful classical ballet movement
Service Description
Immerse yourself in one of the oldest art forms with former professional ballet dancer Georgina Dingle. Georgina will guide you through the basic exercises and steps taught using simple combinations to an uplifting classical playlist. The class begins with work at the barre, which include a variety of traditional steps and exercises including plie's, tendu's, battemants and rond de jamb's. This is then followed by centre work inspired by some of the greatest ballets - expect lots of laughter and fun in this section. The physical benefits of ballet including improved stamina, flexibility, posture and muscular strength are well known but some of the less highlighted benefits include improved balance and co-ordination, cognitive ability, not to mention the joy of meeting new people. Georgina has experience in teaching ballet from beginners to professionals and is also a qualified Progressing Ballet Technique instructor. Expect some fun use of props in one of Georgina's classes, designed to enhance a dancers technique.

By booking one of our workouts, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined at www.richmondbarre.com/term-and-conditions Can I still join the class if I'm late? Unfortunately the answer is no and for a number of reasons, but the main one is for your safety! Arriving late means you're missing some, or all, of the warm up. Even for the fittest amongst us, this can be unsafe and increases your risk of injury. It can also be disruptive to other participants and your instructor, so please try to be on time! We open the door 10-15 minutes early to give you a nice arrival window. Can I leave the class early? Similar to the late arrival, leaving early means you miss final segments of the class and, importantly, the cool down. This increases your risk of injury and recovery time, so it's something we ask you not to do. It's also disruptive to other participants in the class as they start to wind down after their workout. It's only 60 minutes so please try to invest the time in yourself and your barre buddies!
